it's now august 25, i have exactly 6 days left until i race my very first ironman. i leave thursday morning and race bright and early on sunday. so while everyone will be still sleeping in their bed, i will be jumping in the water to start my race (starts 7am louisville time).
everyone keeps asking me if i'm ready, and all i can say is "we'll see!" i guess i'm as ready as i'll ever be. i have to take it all one at a time. so first be out of the water in 2 hours and 20 mins. next obstable is be off my bike by 530pm. after that, i can just do the best i can to make it the finish line in the shortest time possible.
so wish me luck, and pray that i make it through each obstacle.
