DHC - Moisture Care Lipstick

I've been using the DHC Moisture Care Lipstick a lot lately.  I wasn't too sure what I would think about it, especially because lipsticks normally do the opposite of moisturizing your lips.  This time I was pleasantly surprised.

The DHC Moisture Care Lipstick definitely feels moisturizing.  It feels like a chapstick or lip balm on your lips, but gives you the color of a sheer lipstick.  The color is not really "kissable" as we say, which means it will transfer if rubbed.  But, the color and moisturizing feel does last if not touched.

The color that I have is called clementine, which is a great nudeish color with a nice corally tint.  I've found myself grabbing for this a lot. Especially, because I can wear with without lip liner and it just feels hydrating on my lips while also giving a nice tint that I can wear with any look.  But, when I do wear it with lipliner, it just adds a bit more pop of color.

Here are all the colors that the DHC Moisture Car Lipstick comes in.

San Jose Giant Race 06.16.2012

I posted earlier that my whole family was doing an event together and the day finally came.  Saturday was a Family Fun Day for us, we celebrated my Dad's birthday by doing a race.

My parents did the 5k (about 3.5 miles) and my sister and I did the 5 mile.  As always we had plenty of other friends doing the event with us, so it was definitely a good time.

I finished my run at the pace that I thought I would.  But, I was a little disappointed b/c I had to stop twice to tie my shoe.  That has never happened to me before.

With our registration, we got tickets to the San Jose Giants (a minor league team) game later that night.  So, later that day we enjoyed the sun more and the game.

DHC - Deep Cleasing Oil

I've tried this product out a couple of times since I've had it.  And, I must say it is quite efficient.

The first time I tried it, I followed the directions exactly.  I pumped two squirts into my DRY hands and applied all over my face.  I then took a wash cloth with warm water and took the residual make up and oil off.  I was quite surprised with the results.  It took my make up off without having to scrub hard at all.

I then thought maybe it would be easier if I used cotton squares.  But, that didn't work out very well.  Following the directions is the way to go.

Using the Deep Cleansing Oil, make the make up feel like it's melting off your face.  I had no trouble taking off my water proof eyeliner or my mascara.  And, I didn't have to use that much force.  All you need is a light touch back and forth around your eye area.  And, what I was most surprised with was that it took the eyeliner from my lower water line off with ease.  All the other make up removers I've used usually still leave a trace amount left.  Even when I think I've gotten everything, when I wake up in the morning, I look like I've smoked out my lower lash line.  lol  I'm sure you ladies know what I'm talking about.

Your face does not feel dry and tight afterward.  And even though it is oil, you aren't left with an oily feel once you've taken the wash cloth to your face.

And, I normally wash my face after using a make up remover.  I don't need to do the second step after using this.  So, it definitely makes my night routine easier.

new personal best

i ran the lake last night.  and i had to force myself.  i was feeling a bit lazy after work, so i knew as soon as i walked into my house i had to change into my workout clothes.  that way i wouldn't get the urge to just be lazy.

i took in a little snack, got my drink ready and stretched out a little bit.  then it was off to the lake.  but i was still feeling a bit sluggish.  i even took a quick 8 minute nap.  lol.  and then i willed myself out of the car,  did a couple more stretches and took off on a light jog.  i told myself to just take it lightly around the lake, it doesn't matter what time you get as long as you run and get the workout in.  well, i also was a bit irritated b/c i accidentally pressed the stop button at 5 seconds.  so i had to stop and start it again, but i didn't know how to reset it.  oh well.

it doesn't matter any how.  when i got closer to the end of my run, i pulled my phone out and realized i was actually making good time (for me...i'm slow).  and what do you know, i actually made new personal best.  i probably did better than what the clock shows b/c of my 5 second mishap, but who cares, I'LL TAKE IT!
