T minus 5 days

yeay! dreams do come true! in 5 days my ass will be sitting on a plane half way across the world to JAPANNNN! i am soooo juiced. i can't wait to just take it all in.

FAQ's
1. why are you going? - vacation. trust me I'M DUE!
2. who are you going with? - MYSELF. i'm going over there by myself, but i'll be staying with my aunt who lives there, so i won't be alone.
3. why japan? - why not? really though, i've just always wanted to go there. i'd like to see the culture past and present, shopping, and traveling to different places is just fun!\

this is a life long goal that is finally going to be fulfilled! i can't even describe it...i'm just so excited, it's kind of overwhelming. i just can't wait to be there and experience it already.

other short terms goals/big purchases next on my list:
-music tattoo on my foot
-treat myself to a new computer

the sun is out and so am i

this weekend the sun decided to come out and play and i've been waiting for some great running weather so i decided to go out for a run on saturday. ran the 4.5 miles of lake merced the rare daly city sun and had such a good time just being out there soaking it all in.

you see...i HATE running on a treadmill. i can't stand the monotony of it. it's just so boring to me. yes even with a tv or my ipod on. i always say, i'd rather run a marathon than be on a treadmill for 20 mins. but, the rare times that i am on a treadmill, force myself through it for 30min. i can't take much more than that.

sooo the sun came out and so did i. here are a few things that i like to soak in while running outside

-people watching...i'm a big people watcher as it is, so i can't help but do this anyway.
-the sounds of the conversations pass me by just makes me feel alive
-the sounds of the fast person coming up behind me lol
-smiling at the elderly that are still out and being active (i wanna be like that when i'm old too)
-watching the dogs playfully running along their owners
-the gun shots at the rod & gun club let's me know i'm more than half way done
-the unexpected cool breeze
-slowing down you speed ever so slightly in the shade b/c it's much cooler there
-hearing the people practicing in their dragon boats
-the "go team" camaraderie even though you don't know that person
-the feeling of accomplishment when you beat your time again and AGAIN!!
